It may have been as long as a couple years ago, but I remember some guy made a really great Tetris game, I think he called it Tetroid, but googling that doesn't get me the game I remember.
He released it only from his website, because he didn't care to deal with copyright issues. I'm damn near positive I found it on this subreddit...
The blocks were 3D-ish, and it used swiping rather than on screen buttons. It was really well put together. I remember specifically it had particle effects when blocks we placed and when lines disappeared. But it played just like regular Tetris. It was a pretty minimal interface and design.
Does anyone remember this game, and know where I can find it?
