Download Free [Q] Am I the only one who can't get Google now launcher to work?

I try using the Google Now Launcher and it keeps telling me I need a newer version of Google Search, of which I have the latest version installed.

This is happening on both my phone (Nexus 4) and tablet (Galaxy Tab 2 7"), and both are on 4.4.4

Is this happening to anyone else?
