Dragon Quest Classes

rubissdesaint:

I just got a question about picking characters in Dragon Quest 3, so I figured it would be nicer if I went into detail on how I’d pick them.

Hero: Give this man every stat boosting item you can get your hands on. He should be carrying your team so you don’t have to worry about all of the dumb choices you’ll probably make building your team. Once he gets his lightning spells, go forth and win at life.

Warrior: We all know you’re going to pick the female warrior so don’t  feel bad about it. No one’s gonna judge. Best attack and defenses, one’s in almost everyone’s team for a reason. Just watch it trudge through enemy attacks like a tank running over everything that’s not a tank.

Cleric: Another mainstay for a good reason, you’re gonna get hurt a lot and that inn gets farther and farther away with each hit you take. Always keep one on your team unless you have a huge dick are comfortable in your skills in staying alive.

Mage: A nice addition to a team with its multiple target hitting spells, but its really on your team for the spell TwinHits Use it on your Warrior and watch enemies crack like eggs on the sidewalk.

Fighter: Crit machines. Crits mean you can harm liquid slimes, that means huge XP, and that means you win at life more. Also, the sidequest in the Pyramid makes you feel even more awesome when you give the Golden Claw to your fighter and he transcends into Bruce Lee levels of dragon-kicking.

Dealer: In the original game, they were pointless except for one part of the story where you need one. In the remakes, they get the ability to find hidden treasure and summon the occasional innkeeper so if you’re lucky, they’re better than clerics, they just can’t heal in battle. If you wanna swim in money like Uncle Scrooge’s Money Bin, bring a Dealer.

Thief: These guys are so sneaky, they slipped into the remakes and became party members. These guys are here to occasionally steal stuff from monsters and use the best whips the game. They’re also very helpful in finding mini medals and detecting the slaughter machines known as Mimics.

Jester:…you’re kidding right? I didn’t know you wanted Hard Mode. Most of the time, Jesters are at best fighting with one less party member and at worst dealing damage to itself and everyone around. However, like Magikarps, when they reach level 20 they become sages and joins the Hero in carrying the entire party to victory.

Sage: Release your tether and ascend to baller status. Sages do everything Mages and Clerics do, but better Except no substitutes and watch it start the ending credits the moment it enters your party. Why waste time? This guy (or girl) has got this in the bag. gg, Baramos.

Hope this advice helps you guys in deciding your classes.
