The Foolish Brave- To Challenge a God
Coming up on the RPG radar is The Foolish Brave, a sidescrolling adventure bringing players to lush island environments and lots of pretty creatures to fight (I’m a fan of the Wolficorn)! Though it sounds like a dream tropical getaway for we warriors, it’s not cakewalk (or cakejump) through this platform-hopping, hack-n-slash. Fusing elements from our beloved Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, and Megaman [or insert your favourite fall-down-the-hole-and-die classic here], The Foolish Brave is a killer action title that actually has a sweet comic to get you acquainted with the characters, Ozma and Ry. The pair are tasked with discovering why the island of Neria is rotting and what’s up with the heart of the island being the only place seemingly untouched by this encroaching illness that’s essentially destroyed the island (I’m personally taken back to FF1 with the whole island rotting).
A Kickstarter has just been launched to fund this luscious title, that’s also on Steam Greenlight. Can’t forget to mention that there’s a demo to go along with this, and it’s pretty awesome already.
