Is there any fix to this?

Sometimes when I open my quickview window case and it loads the home screen I can open an app and try to hit an option within that app but it won't register the app being open and the input would be register directly below on the home screen usually opening another app or calender event.

Also sometimes it will look like an app is open but it's actually the wallpaper. I thought this was limited to apps that are open but just a moment ago it was showing dropbox as my background and I don't remembering opening this up today and it wasn't in my recents because I cleared that shortly before.

I know this is limited to Nova Launcher because it never did it with Go Launcher EX and only started after switching to NL. I'm tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling. It's getting annoying.
