Download Free Chinese company stole brother's game :( HELP!

Hi guys, I decided to make a throwaway account for this, to keep my regular account... well, regular, because this is a one off callout for help from the community which my brother has been a part of for around a year I think.

So pretty much things have been tough recently for our family. Our dad died of cancer last year, and ever since our mum has been depressed. She manages to work hard at a dayjob and together we just about get by. My brother, along with his regular dayjob codes android apps in an atttempt to help us get by, and we have a decent amount of money coming in.

My brother released a fun skill based arcade game a few days ago which he called 'Speed Tapper' to the android store, and it got 10 downloads on the first day, which seemed like a good start, but on the third day, a mirror app with a different name popped up by a chinese company (company and app will remain anonymous, I don't want them to recieve any hate) and their app unnaturally got 5,000 downloads in the first day, which first of all started to make us feel that they might be botting, and my brother's app has gone the other way and made a dead stop. Even worse, the game logic is exactly the same as out app, so it's clear they might have reverse engineered our app and re-skinned it :(.

Anyway, I can't ask for much, but if our community could give us some advice, it would be much appreciated!
